The experts say that when we focus on all we have to be thankful for, the effort in gratitude will improve our mood and boost our immune system.  While we are staying put in our homes, one way to stay positive is to focus on the good acts that are going on all around us in the midst of the difficulty.  We challenged our employees to compile a list of the uplifting things that they have seen in their communities and in the world in the past few weeks.  We wanted to share that list with you in hopes that it inspires your community to do the same.  We can’t ignore the difficulties, but we can choose to see the good that is all around.

  • Live events online from musicians, authors, actors, spiritual leaders to inspire community
  • Schools feeding children
  • People sewing masks
  • Candles and clapping for medical staff on the front lines
  • Companies donating space for hospitals
  • CEOs donating their salaries for their workers or for medical needs
  • Companies shifting manufacturing to ventilators and other medical supplies
  • Car parades for school children and the elderly
  • Teachers inventing ways to make sure every child can learn using new methods
  • People using technology to check in on one another frequently
  • The free sharing of resources
  • Construction companies donating masks to hospitals
  • Breweries and distilleries making hand sanitizers
  • Professional athletes paying for the salaries of the arena staff during postponed seasons
  • People making every effort to support their local restaurants and community stores
  • Kids writing inspiring messages in chalk throughout their communities

Keep the list going and stay safe.  We will get through this together!
